Your learning stays local. Diagnostics stay narrow.
CareVerba is a clinical English recall app for internationally educated nurses and nursing students. It works without an account, keeps learning records on your iPhone, and limits network data to the services explained below.
Data stored on your iPhone
CareVerba stores the country and nursing setting you choose, saved cards, recall progress and history, active-card state, reminder preference, image preference, cached configuration, and optional cached card images on your device. Search terms remain local. The app does not require a CareVerba account.
iOS may include app data in an encrypted device backup according to your Apple backup settings. Apple controls that backup service under its own privacy policy.
Anonymous analytics and crash reports
In production builds, anonymous analytics and native crash sharing are on by default. You can turn both off at any time in CareVerba Settings. When enabled, CareVerba sends a fixed list of feature events and fatal-crash reports to the CareVerba project in PostHog US Cloud.
Reports may include app and iOS versions, iPhone model class, timestamps, an anonymous installation identifier, general feature outcomes, selected country, broad nursing setting category, orientation, purchase-flow outcome, and native crash stack traces. Tepesoft uses this information for product analytics, reliability, and app functionality, never for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- No PostHog person profile or CareVerba account is created.
- Session replay, screen capture, tap capture, advertising identifiers, and automatic screen or lifecycle events are disabled.
- GeoIP enrichment is disabled, and the PostHog project is configured not to retain client IP addresses.
- Crash reports are stored at crash time and sent after the next launch only while diagnostics remain enabled.
See PostHog's privacy policy for its independent service practices.
Information excluded from telemetry
CareVerba does not send card terms, definitions, examples, source language, search queries, saved phrases, recall history details, reminder text, reviewer identity, source documents, export contents, shared cards, user-authored text, or patient information to PostHog. Do not enter patient information anywhere in the app.
CareVerba does not use analytics to infer health conditions, employment performance, licensing status, or clinical competence.
Configuration and optional card images
CareVerba requests a small configuration file from Tepesoft so the app can change its approved image host or present a required-update notice without an emergency app release. If you enable card scenes, the app also requests small WebP images using opaque asset IDs and caches successful files on the iPhone.
These requests do not include card text, country, nursing setting, searches, saved cards, or progress. Like any web request, Tepesoft's host receives connection details such as an IP address, request time, requested path, response status, and user agent. Server logs are used for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting, then rotated under Tepesoft's operational retention schedule.
Purchases, sharing, audio, and Apple services
Apple processes App Store billing, refunds, and payment details. CareVerba uses StoreKit 2 verified transactions as the on-device authority for access. RevenueCat is not active in the current production configuration. If it is enabled later, this policy and the App Store privacy answers will be updated before release.
Pronunciation uses Apple's on-device speech system. Reminders use iOS notifications. Exports and shared cards show a preview before opening Apple's share sheet. CareVerba does not choose or receive the destination; Apple and the service or person you select handle the shared item under their own policies.
Website data
This Tepesoft website uses audience analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand page use and improve public product pages. Website analytics are separate from CareVerba's in-app learning data and PostHog project. Web requests may process IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, referrer, interaction information, and response status for audience measurement, security, and troubleshooting.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
On-device data
Learning state remains until you use Delete local learning data in Settings or remove the app, subject to Apple device backups you control. Deletion also resets CareVerba's anonymous analytics identifier for future events. It does not change your diagnostics preference.
Analytics and crash data
The CareVerba PostHog project may retain accepted anonymous events and crash reports for up to seven years under its current service settings. Turning diagnostics off stops future collection but does not erase previously received anonymous records. Because CareVerba does not attach a name, email, or account, previously received records generally cannot be linked back to a named person.
Requests and international processing
Contact Tepesoft to ask about identifiable support or website information. PostHog processes CareVerba telemetry in the United States. Apple and other services may process information in countries where they operate, under their own safeguards and policies.
Children, policy changes, and contact
CareVerba is designed for nurses and nursing students and is not directed to children under 13. Tepesoft may update this policy when the app, vendors, retention, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will change after a material update.
Tepesoft Systems is responsible for CareVerba. Email privacy@tepesoft.com for privacy questions or requests. Please do not include patient information, card text, or other sensitive clinical details in your message.
